Operations Manager – Branch

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage and develop inside branch personnel, review and improve procedures, and cultivate teamwork.
  • Maintain an orderly office and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Assume Front Door to Back Door responsibility of the branch facility.
  • Lead by example and play a key role in ensuring that all Voss Lighting customers receive courteous, dependable, and knowledgeable service.
  • Assign and monitor clerical functions, delegate responsibilities, and coordinate training in an effort to encourage staff development.  Develop a work environment where motivated team members can achieve their highest potential.
  • Act as liaison between sales staff and office service staff.
  • Oversee all branch service functions and procedures, including but not limited to entire invoice workflow, cash drawer reconciliation, checking account management, purchasing of office supplies, vehicle maintenance, safety program adherence, sales support, ongoing procedure efficiency evaluation, employee development.
  • Provide Voss management input on customer needs, pricing and product issues, competition, and company policy and procedures.
  • Attend branch, policy and training and various meetings as required.
  • Assume duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

 

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent customer service experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.   Must be able to write and read English.
  • Prefer a working knowledge of business computer programs such as Microsoft Office, and use of an iPad.  Use company Google email effectively.
  • Takes initiative, looking for ways to help and ideas to improve customer service.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. from warehouse shelf to counter customer.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of various required reports, and provide timely communication.
